The END Fund
The END Fund is dedicated to ending the five most prevalent neglected tropical diseases (NTDs): intestinal worms, schistosomiasis, trachoma, river blindness, and lymphatic filariasis. These diseases affect nearly one in five people worldwide, including more than 800 million children. These preventable, treatable diseases flourish in areas of poor water and sanitation and with limited access to healthcare. Causing blindness, disfigurement, anaemia, and inability to attend or concentrate in school, they perpetuate the cycle of poverty.
The good news? These diseases can be controlled and even eliminated. Delivery of donated medicines, once or twice per year, costs about 50 cents per person per year and represents a “best buy” for health and education outcomes.
“We’re in awe of the tireless work that The END Fund does in protecting people at risk of neglected tropical diseases, and we’re so proud to be supporting this amazing cause!”
